Hi Jon,

The entire psychodynamic terminology is incredibly confusing! I continuously have to look up how all the schools and theories relate to each other myself. They did not make it easy to follow and understand, that is for sure.

Keeping it simple and easy to follow totally makes sense and is a smart move — once you step into psychodynamic territory the concepts you need to explain other concepts don’t seem to end :D

Jung is an absolutely fascinating character and definitely worth studying (minus maybe some aspects that are a bit too mystical/spiritual for me personally). When I started reading him, he presented me with solutions to problems that rang so true but I never had been able to put into words.

A good introduction could be “Jung’s Map of the Soul: An Introduction” by Murray Stein :) As controversial as he can be, Jordan Peterson has some great videos about Jung on Youtube as well.

I’m looking forward to your next articles!

Best wishes,

Alina

Awesome.
I’ll delve into the Stein book you recommended, and I’ll take a look at the YouTube content.
Jung is new territory for me, so wish me luck!
Thanks again, Alina ☺️
